Fair enough. But fundraising is a numbers game, and calling 1,000 donors will maybe get 100 to 300 people to donate - most importantly they will all have had a good call telling them how wonderful they are.

Bottom line - it works, so fundraisers, please do it.'Sean is always learning'https://www.blogger.com/profile/09913608962533588338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-941230432085823637.post-30344504564466657792009-02-18T02:35:00.000+11:002009-02-18T02:35:00.000+11:00Government organisations usually tell us to be war...Government organisations usually tell us to be wary of unsolicited requests for credit card details as there is a high percentage of fraud. I have to admit, I've reduced my telephone interaction to thank you calls only. We always have a donor "thank a thon" in early December for anyone who has given over a certain amount during the year. Our differing uses of the phone probably speaks to our different constituencies, locations, etc.

In December, I follow up with our "major donors" by delivering poinsettias and holiday cards then sending a very colorful, localized mailer the following week. I have seen amazing results with this approach although when I first started the poinsettia drop off, I though people would flip!

Please keep in touch and keep the info coming!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13126222315701839355noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-941230432085823637.post-406945591329554722008-12-17T08:05:00.000+11:002008-12-17T08:05:00.000+11:00Okay - I'm sorry that you hear from me almost excl...Okay - I'm sorry that you hear from me almost exclusively!
